Q: Can we stay for a 2 night weekend for a reduced price?

A: No, our weekends are 3 nights as standard. Although you are free to leave whenever you like! Unfortunately we are not able to reduce the price for shorter stays.

Q: If we have less people, is there a reduction in price?

A: The cottages prices are based on weekly or short break stays, irrespective of how many people are staying. If you have fewer people, this will not alter the price of the cottage.

Q: Can we bring our dog?

A: We welcome well behaved dogs in our cottages. There is a small extra charge £10/dog for a weekend or midweek or £15 for a week stay. We do ask guests bringing dogs to not let their dogs in the bedrooms or on the furniture..

Q: Can I have your postcode for our Sat Nav?

A: Sat Navs are notoriously unreliable in this area so we strongly advise guests to print off our directions and use a map! Beckstones cottages: LA177XS. Ashlack Hall, Keeper’s Cottage, The Carthouse: LA177XN

Q: How far is the nearest supermarket/pub/shop/zoo etc

A: Please see our ‘Explore the Area’ section

Q: Please can you hold dates for us while we get people/money together for the deposit?

A: We can hold a property for 24 hours only upon agreement. After this time, your booking is not secure until we have received your deposit.

Q: Can we pay on arrival?

A: Sorry, no. Your booking is not secure until we have received your 50% deposit. The remaining 50% must be paid 30 days prior to your arrival date.

Q: Do you have a BBQ?

A: We supply disposable BBQ’s sufficient for 1 barbecue for the capacity of the cottage as standard . If you would like a charcoal BBQ these are available to hire at a cost of £10 for a weekend/midweek and £15 for a week and need to be booked in advance.

Q: Are the cottages accessible for wheelchair users/people with mobility problems?

A: Not really. We will shortly be undergoing an accessibility study for our cottages, but generally we would advise that our cottages are not suitable for wheelchair users.

Q. Is smoking permitted in the cottages?
We DO NOT allow smoking in any of our properties and ask that if guests smoke outside all cigarette ends are picked up. Please see our Terms and Conditions
