‘Rough Cut’ a Cornerhouse production was filmed at Ashlack in June, thanks to Tor Townley their location manager. The whole crew stayed in the Big Green Yurt and Beckstones Farmhouse and used the newly renovated Monk’s Barn for filming and preparing a giant worm and putting the final touches on model houses which were later set on fire and blown up on the nearby fell!!
We thoroughly enjoyed having them to stay at Ashlack and look forward to the documentary coming out (general release 29th November 2013).
Rough Cut, directed by London-based artist Jamie Shovlin, produced by Cornerhouse Artist Film and set for release late 2013, explores the making of 70’s exploitation film Hiker Meat; an imagined film by fictitious Italian director Jesus Rinzoli.
